Saturday was my group’s day, I am a little late yet again posting the pictures from it, but have been waiting to receive them from Suzanne, then I had to sort them out. But here we go, all ready now.
It was a bit of a bad start for me as I woke up in so much pain and wasn’t sure whether to go or not. A few of the ladies looked after me, thank you Pat and Sue, and thank you Wendy for the hug. By lunch time the pain killers had finally kicked in and the rest of the day was ok. Anyway enough about me. On with the show.
This is what I was hoping to get them all to do. Three easy peasy blocks as you can see. Well! No I won’t say anything, just that we did laugh a lot. Here are a couple of pictures of the first two squares I have myself made into quilts for the ladies to see the patterns..
Sadly no pictures were taken of two of the blocks, which is a shame as I showed them a lot of ways they could be put together to get secondary patterns, slipped up there somehow. We did manage to get a picture of the lantern blocks though of those who finished them….
I am hoping there will be lots of items for the Showtime in September as they have a couple of months off now as the next Quilt Set in JULY I am using as an FMQ day. If you would like to join us let me know and I will send you the details. FMQ = Free Machine Quilting which I am showing the ladies who signed up how to do. I hope to show them lots of patterns so they can do their quilts with ease.
Front and back of Quilt Dee is in the process of quilting –
Janet B’s Beautiful Dresden Plate Table runner and a gorgeous clutch bag made using the class learned last month with Bridget –
Sandra T’s gorgeous cushion using Bridget;s class again, and the funky chicken runner from Suzanne’s class –
Runner made by Janet Br and gorgeous single bed quilt ALL hand done by Sally –
Jackie T’s Quilt made from squares cut from her stash, love those colours, plus the back which is a very funky fabric I have to say –
Last but definitely not least are all the cross stitch pictures Rebecca has done since she started that craft. Even the name is cross stitched and it took her ages to make that I know so well done for sticking with it. Everyone appeared to like the Poppies best of all.
There was a gorgeous big cushion done by Suzanne but I don’t appear to have a picture of it for some reason. Which is a shame as it was very pretty and sparkly.
So that was Saturday taken care of. I issued them all a challenge at the end of the day to make something with what they had learned today and bring it in September…..We shall see if they listened!!
